1. The Republic of Uzbekistan has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Uzbekistans Improving Pre-Primary and General Secondary Education Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for the supply of Computer Class Sets and Equipment for Public Education Institutions.

For goods manufactured in the Republic of Uzbekistan margin of preference is applicable.

3. Bidders may bid for one or several contracts, as further defined in the bidding document. Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one contract will be allowed to do so, provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.

4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Banks Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers" dated January 2011 and revised July 2014 (Procurement Guidelines), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Banks policy on conflict of interest.

5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Mr. Bakhodir Alimov, Procurement Specialist, Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistans Improving Pre-Primary and General Secondary Education Project, e-mail: uzgpeprocurement@gmail.com and inspect the bidding documents during office hours 10:00 till 17:00 Tashkent time on the regular business days at the address given below.

6. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of USD 50,00 (US Dollar fifty), or equivalent amount in Uzbek Soums (UZS). The method of payment will be bank transfer to the below indicated bank account. All charges related to bank transfer are to be covered by the bidders. Cash and guarantee checks are not accepted. The Bidding documents, at the bidders option, may be either collected by a bidders representative from the Project office at the address below, or will be forwarded by e-mail to those bidders who paid the nonrefundable fee.

7. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 15:15 (Tashkent time), March 31, 2017. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below at 15:30 (Tashkent time) on March 31, 2017.

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security:
Lot 1: USD 87,000.00 (US Dollar Eighty Seven Thousand) or equivalent in a freely convertible currency;
Lot 2: USD 3,000.00 (US Dollar Three Thousand) or equivalent in a freely convertible currency.
